The pitch
Mountain farmers, shepherds and goat herders all get together to celebrate the end of summer and the return of the herds and flocks to the village.
Details
Today’s schedule:
• 9:00 a.m.: Arrival of the herds
• Starting at 10:00 a.m.: Cattle show, cheese competition, and young judges’ competition
• 12:00 p.m.: Traditional meal at the community hall
• 3:00 p.m.: Animal parade and herding dog demonstrations
• 5:30 p.m.: Mare competition
Throughout the day:
• Live music by the Tuaz Brothers
• Market and craft fair: copperwork, woodwork, knives, bells...
